We are excited to share the Colorado Firefighter Trust's Behavioral Health Program (BHT) is now able to offer a clinician direct bill option. This option comes from the need to help ease the financial burden that can accompany seeking behavioral health treatment.

To begin, firefighters will still have to set up a claim with BHT.  Then, to begin the billing process, the firefighter will provide your clinic with their BHT claim number. Finally, our claims administrator, Sedgwick, requires an invoice providing the following information:

  • Claimant name
  • Sedgwick claim number
  • Type of treatment received (no specific details)
  • Date of service of treatment
  • Mailing address where the reimbursement should be sent
  • Completed W-9

Clinicians do not need to provide the following:

  • Medical Records
  • ICD 9 Coding or any type of diagnosis

Clinicians will submit the invoice directly to our claims administrator, Sedgwick, at cofftclaimmail@sedgwick.com. Be sure to include the BHT claim number in the subject line.

If you have any questions about this process, please email us at cfhtrust@mcgriff.com.
